We are looking for an experienced EPLAN Designer to join our Engineering team and support the development of electrical documentation for EPOD and industrial projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing accurate, high-quality electrical documentation using EPLAN Electric P8, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering, production, commissioning, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain electrical schematics in EPLAN Electric P8 for electrical panels, control boards, switchboards, and cabinets.

• Prepare cable lists, termination lists, wiring diagrams, component lists, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and complete electrical drawing packages.

• Develop documentation for power distribution, control circuits, instrumentation, PLC/I/O interfaces, and industrial automation systems.

• Interpret customer specifications, single-line diagrams, engineering inputs, mark-ups, and redline comments and translate them into accurate EPLAN documentation.

• Collaborate with Electrical Engineering, Automation/Controls, Mechanical, HVAC, Production, Quality, Suppliers, and Project Management to ensure effective project coordination.

• Provide technical support to production and commissioning teams during panel assembly, wiring, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning.

• Implement drawing revisions and maintain accurate as-built documentation.

• Maintain and improve EPLAN macros, templates, device data, libraries, page structures, tagging conventions, and numbering standards.

• Review and incorporate customer, supplier, and internal comments in accordance with project procedures.

• Identify and raise technical issues, missing information, design conflicts, and unclear requirements.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of electrical design processes, documentation standards, and production efficiency.

• Ensure documentation complies with applicable electrical standards, CE marking requirements, quality procedures, HSE requirements, and project specifications.

What We're Looking For

• Technical education in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Electrotechnics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with EPLAN Electric P8.

• 2–5 years of recent experience in electrical schematic design, preferably for industrial panels, control boards, switchboards, or automation systems.

• Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, panel design, control circuits, power distribution, and industrial automation.

• Proven experience producing cable lists, termination lists, wiring diagrams, BOMs, component lists, and complete electrical documentation packages.

• Practical experience with terminals, relays, contactors, drives, PLC/I/O interfaces, instrumentation, power supplies, and protection/control components.

• Experience reading and implementing engineering mark-ups, redlines, revisions, and as-built documentation.

• Good understanding of relevant electrical regulations, standards, CE requirements, quality procedures, and HSE expectations.

• Strong attention to detail, organisation, and technical accuracy.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

• Good written and spoken English and Portuguese.
