Quality, technology, safety and sustainability are at the heart of everything we do. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Technician to join our team and play a key role in creating a safe, responsible and high-performing industrial environment.

🎯 The Opportunity

As an HSE Technician, you will be responsible for supporting and continuously improving our Health, Safety and Environmental practices, ensuring compliance with Portuguese legislation and promoting a strong culture of safety and environmental responsibility across the organization.

🔎 Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor Health, Safety and Environmental procedures;

• Ensure compliance with Portuguese legislation regarding Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental requirements;

• Conduct risk assessments and propose corrective and preventive measures;

• Promote and deliver health and safety awareness and training;

• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, preparing reports and action plans;

• Conduct regular audits and inspections of facilities, machinery and equipment;

• Monitor and promote the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE);

• Manage mandatory legal documentation related to Health, Safety and Environment;

• Support and accompany inspections and audits carried out by external authorities and organizations;

• Coordinate emergency drills and contribute to the development and updating of emergency plans;

• Promote environmental best practices, including waste management, energy efficiency and the reduction of environmental impact;

• Develop and monitor HSE performance indicators and reports;

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and actively contribute to building a strong safety culture.

🧩 What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a responsible, proactive and detail-oriented professional who is passionate about safety, sustainability and continuous improvement and who wants to contribute to the development of a new industrial operation.

Requirements

• Higher education or professional qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering or a related field;

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within an industrial environment;

• Good knowledge of Portuguese Occupational Health & Safety legislation;

• Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards;

• Good command of English, both written and spoken;

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools;

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;

• High level of responsibility, organization and attention to detail;

• Good communication and interpersonal skills;

• A strong continuous improvement mindset.
